Watching Obama's Inauguration Live in Mongolia

Obama rules the Mongolian airwaves

It was tough waking up at 12:30 AM and hauling my sleepiness downstairs to the TV. But there's no way I'd miss this moment. I can hardly believe it's happening. The election already seems like it happened a hundred years ago, but finally, the day has come. I'm watching live right now.

Mongolian TV is covering the event, rebroadcasting from BBC with live commentary. It's amazing that on the other side of the world you can watch the inauguration live, and that you can even watch it in Mongolian.

I feel a pang of homesickness and regret, watching such an important event in my own city, from so far away.
