The Revolution in the Metro

 Another kind of surge

Another kind of surge

Last night Ukrainian special police attacked a few hundred sleeping students claiming that they had been provoked. In the meantime, the Ukrainian courts declared that protests on the central square would not be permitted.

The people responded. Nearly one million showed up to protest against the government's decision to reject association with Europe. It was a decision guaranteed to ignite protests. I knew, in the Metro, that it would be a big event. People could not wait to get above ground, and began their protests in the Metro itself.

This is what I saw before I even got above ground.
